Occupational Safety and Health Consultants Register
P&J are passionate about protecting people within their workplace.
The Occupational Safety and Health Consultants Register (OSHCR) is an online register of certified professionals.
Like the UKAS Accreditation, OSHCR are here to help consumers work with competent companies. Seven leading professional bodies (see list) in health & safety work together in partnership, to safeguard the register and establish robust benchmark standards for safety consultants to raise the quality of advice being given.
P&J's Managing Director, Jane Bastow is a member of the The Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) who are one of the governing bodies of OSHCR and the biggest professional body for health & safety in the world.
"P&J, passionate about protecting people in their place of work."
For more complex situations expert advice may be appropriate. HSE does not define or approve standards of competence, but those seeking expert advice may wish to consult the Occupational Safety and Health Consultants’ Register (www.hse.gov.uk/oshcr).
The OSHCR register is a resource to help you find advice when you need to manage health and safety risks within your workplace.
Consultants must meet the eligibility criteria before they go on the register to ensure all advice given is beneficial to clients understanding of the law.
This guarantees that your consultant:
holds Chartered (or equivalent) status with their main professional body
is committed to continuing professional development
abides by their professional bodies code of conduct
will provide sensible and proportionate advice; and
has professional indemnity insurance or equivalent to cover the nature of their duties.
